Get Your Life Back With Affirmations

Get Your Life Back With Affirmations
By Kate L. Russell

Your mind is a powerful tool. All too often, we use that tool to destroy ourselves. Our mental dialog tells us that we are too fat, that we won't get that job, that we are too tired, failures, unloved and unsuccessful. Turn that tool around and you can create the life of health, wealth and happiness you believed in when you were a child. Affirmations are a simple, proven tool you can use to make those positive changes in your life. Affirmations are positive statements you use repeatedly to create a positive, successful mindset, thereby having a better impact on the people in your life and the way you live.

When you think negatively about yourself, it shows. Other people feel it and respond accordingly. Insecurities and low self-esteem sabotage you on every level. You may be the best person for the job, but your negative self-dialog makes the interview a dismal failure. You may be beautiful and loving, but you keep finding yourself in destructive relationships. Ask yourself why these bad things keep happening to you and they will keep happening to you! Affirmations are a tool you can use to retrain your thoughts to bring good things into your life.

Professional athletes use visualization to see themselves winning. Archers see the arrow hitting the bull's-eye before they shoot. Beauty queens practice their acceptance speech. Successful people know they will eventually win. You can, too. You can talk yourself into being the person you were born to be. You can use affirmations to eliminate your self-destruction. You can build the thought processes you need to motivate yourself to be happy, healthy and successful.

The Law of Attraction states that you bring to yourself the things you think about. Focus on your fears and the things you fear are everywhere. Consider all the things that might go wrong and they do. Tell yourself your situation is hopeless and it is. At the same time, you can use this law to build a life of loving ease and success. You can train your brain to create good things in your life. Tell yourself you can win and you do!

Affirmation statements remind you that you are, you can, and you will bring good things into your life. Affirmation cards are tools you can use to create these positive results. There are several ways you can put these cards to work for yourself and your family. The important thing is to use them several times a day, every day. Whenever you catch yourself having negative thoughts, break out the cards and remind yourself of everything good about you.

The easiest way to use the affirmation cards is to place them throughout your home where you will see them regularly and repeatedly. Say them out loud. Place your affirmations where they will do you the most good. Put your healthy eating card on the refrigerator. Remind yourself of your beautiful smile at the mirror. Financial responsibility can go into your purse or checkbook. You get the idea. Surround yourself with these positive statements about yourself and watch them come to life!

Affirmation cards are a great way to create a positive self-image in your infant or child, as well. Everyone wants their children to grow up feeling good about who they are and what they can accomplish, to know they are beautiful and loved, that they can achieve their dreams, and that they deserve respect and admiration. Daily use of affirmation cards is a positive experience for both of you. Simply hold each card so the picture is facing your baby as you read the words... for both of you.

Young children can use affirmation cards more independently once they have become familiar with them. Not only will it help their reading skills, but they will learn to love themselves as you love them. They will become as strong and precious as the diamonds they were created to be. They will carry these affirmative messages throughout their lives. You can teach them to use affirmation cards as a memory game. Challenge them to tell you what each picture represents. Each time they repeat the affirmations, they will cement those thoughts into their thinking process.

Because you deserve to be happy and successful, take the time to create your own set of affirmation cards. Index cards work well, but you can use whatever you prefer. Use the affirmations below, or make up your own. The important thing is to use them frequently. At first, the words themselves may be difficult to say or even read. That is normal, especially for those who suffer from depression or despair. As with any habit, however, it gets easier with practice. Keep practicing with your affirmation cards and you will become the person you were born to be.

I regularly enjoy exercise (healthy person walking outside)
I drink plenty of water (glass filled with water)
I respect the rights of others (American flag)
I pay my bills easily & I always have extra money (dollar sign)
I always clean up after myself (neatly made bed)
I follow through on things I start (runner under "Start" banner)
I am a happy person and people like me (smiley face)
I have a beautiful smile (smiling mouth)
I enjoy doing good work (woman holding a hammer)
I am proud of my accomplishments (blue ribbon)
I always remember people's names (two people shaking hands)
I am beautiful (flower)
I eat healthy food (fruit basket)
I don't smoke (international "no" symbol over a cigarette)
I have a great job (paycheck)
I am lovable (heart)

27 Daily Affirmations to Boost Self-Esteem and Develop Self-Confidence

27 Daily Affirmations to Boost Self-Esteem and Develop Self-Confidence
By Dr. Camelia Furlan

If you look at any of your problem areas in your life, you'll probably find they are rooted in faulty and limited beliefs, imbedded deeply in our subconscious mind. Because they are in the subconscious mind, often you are not aware that they are the source of your thoughts and actions.

These negative and dis-empowering beliefs, are the reason our life does not work as well as we would like it to; they are the barriers and blockages that stop us from reaching our full potential.

I believe these are the source of our self-sabotage, and through daily affirmations and declarations we are able to imprint in our mind a new way of thinking, new beliefs that are empowering, boost self-esteem and develop self-confidence.

We are re-programming our subconscious mind through daily repetitions of these affirmations, and remember that every new belief needs time and attention to flourish.

You can't do these affirmations for a few days and expect to get long-term results... you will have to imprint them daily; repeating and contemplating on each one for at least 5 minutes, for a period of one month or two. Anything less will not succeed.

Affirmations can be used for immediate, short-term results as well, when you want to influence and redirect the thoughts that occur in your conscious mind.

For example, in a situation where you are feeling stressed, tense or upset, you can repeat an affirmation such as, "I feel calm and relaxed. I feel calm and relaxed. I feel calm and relaxed" for a couple of minutes.

Since your conscious mind can only think one thought at a time, you are able to "fill" your mind with thoughts that support you or your goals. You can repeat these anywhere, whilst driving, loud or silently.

One thing to remember is that you don't necessarily have to believe your affirmations; all you have to do is repeat them.

I have put together 27 of the most powerful affirmations and declarations that I have come across, specifically to boost self-esteem and develop self-confidence.

You can choose to start with the ones that fit you best, and rotate them daily or weekly, whatever is appropriate for you.

Daily affirmations and declarations:

  1. I am unique. I feel good about being alive and being me.
  2. Life is fun and rewarding.
  3. Amazing opportunities exist for me in every aspect of my life.
  4. There are no such things as problems, only opportunities.
  5. I love challenges, they bring out the best in me.
  6. I replace "I must", "I should" and "I have to" with "I choose". (try it with something you think you have to do, and replace must with choose... notice the difference?)
  7. I choose to be happy right now. I love my life.
  8. I appreciate everything I have. I live in joy.
  9. I am courageous. I am willing to act in spite of any fear.
  10. I am positive and optimistic. I believe things will always work out for the best.
  11. It's easy to make friends. I attract positive and kind people into my life.
  12. It's easy to meet people. I create positive and supportive relationships.
  13. I am a powerful creator. I create the life I want.
  14. I am OK as I am. I accept and love myself.
  15. I am confident. I trust myself.
  16. I am successful right now.
  17. I am passionate. I am outrageously enthusiastic and inspire others.
  18. I am calm and peaceful.
  19. I have unlimited power at my disposal.
  20. I am optimistic. I believe things will always work out for the best.
  21. I am kind and loving. I am compassionate and truly care for others.
  22. I am focused and persistent. I will never quit.
  23. I am energetic and enthusiastic. Confidence is my second nature.
  24. I treat everyone with kindness and respect.
  25. I inhale confidence and exhale fear.
  26. I am flexible. I adapt to change quickly.
  27. I have integrity. I am totally reliable. I do what I say.

The Law of Attraction Change Lives The Law of Attraction Change Lives by Yuling Chansard

How Did the Law of Attraction Change My Life?
One day I was browsing in a book store when a book caught my attention. It is a book by Esther Hicks, The Law of Attraction: the Basics of Teachings of Abraham.
The book taught the three universal Laws of Attraction. I have learned and applied the Law of Attraction to my life and suddenly my life started to turn around.
The Three Universal Laws of the Law of Attraction
1. The Essence of That Which Is Like onto Itself, Is Drawn
2. The Science of Deliberate Creating
3. The Art of Allowing
The Law of Attraction changed my life with such confirmations as:
I AM the attractor and creator of my own life experience
My every story is attracting its vibrational match
Think of myself as I would want to be
Whatever I desire I can acquire
Achieving is my natural birthright
Money is the root of evil or of happiness
I can have money and freedom, too
Whenever I am feeling good, I am attracting good
The better my story gets, the better my life gets
We are each responsible for the thoughts we think
I can make a career of living happily ever after
My career is one of creating a joyful life experience
My life is as good as I allow it to be
I am always receiving the Essence of what I am
Love and appreciate everyone and everything in my life
In my appreciation I allow myself to receive wonderful things
I can transform my own world
I can create both money and the time to enjoy it
I can earn money by doing what I love to do
Life is always working out for me

Once I started to apply the Law of Attraction with those affirmations, my life began to change and good things started flushing into my life in every area.
Apply the Law of Attraction
I have attracted the most desirable marriage to the most perfect man - the secret to attract the best relationship
I have attracted great money-making opportunities and making great money - the secret to attract financial abundance
I have attracted many endless wonderful things in my life - the secret to attract all good things
My life has been ever expanding with Law of Attraction, but at the same time I am maintaining peace and freedom in my life. I enjoy doing what I do and making great money doing it.
The Law of Attraction Is the Most Powerful Law
If anyone told me a few years ago that my life would be changed in such a tremendous way by a book, a concept, a way of thinking, I wouldn't believe it possible.
You know what? Today I know I am living the Law of Attraction.
The Law of Attraction changed my life forever

Succeed As A Leader in 5 Steps with Positive Affirmations Succeed As A Leader in 5 Steps with Positive Affirmations by Nelson Berry

Do you think you are really meant to be a follower? Have you resigned yourself to gazing admiringly at leaders chalking up all the glory, attention, authority, and admiration?

Many people have an inkling that they are born to be leaders, but they never reach as far in their goals because of their own belief that they will not succeed. If you think that success is elusive, perhaps you are only using that as an excuse not to work hard enough to become a leader. You have the ability to become a leader and be a successful one. You only need to get rid of the things that are holding you back from that leadership position you’ve always secretly desired.

1. Know what leadership is all about. You won’t succeed as a leader if you don’t know what leadership entails. It is not about bossing people around and getting all the credit. Nor is it about being famous and admired. Being a leader is a responsibility to oversee things and people, and an opportunity to lead others toward a specific goal or change. If you keep your eyes balanced on both the perks and the responsibilities of being a leader, then you will have a clear idea of how to handle that position. It’s the first step in succeeding as a leader.

2. Try to be one. If you want to become a leader, don’t just wish to be one. Do something and try to be one. Whether it’s volunteering or submitting an application for the new leadership position that’s up for grabs, or performing steadily well so you can get promoted, you need to constantly work towards being a leader. You won’t ever reach the top if you don’t take the first step.

3. Get rid of negative thoughts. You should also cleanse your mind of all those negative thoughts that hold you back. Topmost of these are fear and doubt.

With fear, you need to tell yourself that there is nothing to fear in becoming a leader. With doubt, you need to believe 100% that you can make a good leader.

4. Replace them with positive affirmations. When you remove your fear and doubt, in their place you should put a lot of positive talk. Here are some positive thoughts to focus on:

I make a good leader.
I have the qualities of a good leader.
Leadership comes naturally to me.
I handle responsibility well.
I enjoy challenges.
I handle people well.

And when we say “focus”, we mean “constantly bombard your mind” with positive messages such as these. This is the concept of positive affirmations, or subliminal messages. By constantly filling your head with these messages, you are feeding the subconscious mind with positive beliefs. The subconscious, being in charge of our actions and behavior, starts to lead us down the right path towards successful leadership, because it is filled up with positive fuel.

5. Watch subliminal videos every night. If you really want to become a successful leader, invest in subliminal videos designed to send positive subliminal messages about leadership to your subconscious. All you have to do is watch them every night and you will feel miraculously empowered to become the best leader you can be.

An Easy 4 Step Process for Manifesting Anything You Want

An Easy 4 Step Process for Manifesting Anything You Want
By Vania Dimitian

Many times, especially when first learning about the law of attraction, we are told something along the lines of "just meditate, visualize, and feel good and everything you want will just fall out of the sky!" Well let me tell you as someone naive enough to have believed that it is not true. Yes meditating, visualizing, and feeling good are all key components to making the law of attraction work for you- all necessary components- but there is one big key that is often times left out and that's taking action. Read on to find out my easy 4 step process for manifesting and attracting whatever you want (and yes taking action is one of them).

Step #1: Get crystal clear on what you want and focus, focus, focus!

This part is simple but not always easy. If you already know what you want perfect! Get out a sheet of paper and write it down. Don't skip this part- there is real magic in not only knowing what you want but writing it down. If, however, you are someone who doesn't know exactly what you want then ask yourself "what is it I DON'T want?" and then write down the opposite of that. So "I don't want to be fat" would then be "I want to be healthy and slim". Do this for all the main areas of your life- relationships, work, financial, spiritual, and physical- and carry this piece of paper with you every where, reading and focusing on it as often as you can. Focus is another big key; you MUST get used to focusing on what it is you do want and forget about whatever it is you don't want- a crucial step in making the law of attraction work for you! Remember energy flows where attention goes.

Step #2: Get Happy!

This one's easy: feel good as often as possible for no other reason then to feel good! I know what you might be saying: easier said than done Vania! And to that I say "I know, believe me I do, but I have some questions for you: how important is your life to you? how badly do you want what you say you want?" The answer to these questions will let you know how committed you will be to this step because it cannot be skipped. Feeling good = attracting good. Period. So for those of you who still really don't know what you want then make it your mission to just feel good as often as possible. Do whatever it takes! Meditate, journal, exercise, eat healthy, connect with friends/family, dance, etc. Just do things that make you feel truly happy. One thing to remember: do things that will make you HAPPY, not just give you momentary bursts of pleasure that die down quickly and often times leave you feeling worse than before, such as shopping with credit cards, indulging too much on sugary or fatty foods, drinking, etc. These things might be okay occasionally in very small doses but never really make you happy. You know what will bring lasting happiness and what won't so don't tell yourself rational lies (rationalize) just to "get high".

Step #3: Detach from the outcome

Okay I will freely admit this one can be tough! You REALLY want that soulmate, that ideal job/career, that financial windfall, so you should just... let go of it?? Well, yes! I know it sounds completely counterintuitive but detaching from your desired outcome and just being happy now (see step #2 =) are the fastest ways to get what you want. It's like this: when you desperately want something you've entered the zone of neediness and there's nothing that repels the energy of the universe like neediness. You will just end up feeling needier and needier. However, whenever you feel happy, right here and now, without wanting to change a thing the universe immediately wants to give you whatever it is you want. So just how do you detach from your desires? One word: faith. You must flex your faith muscles and know without a shadow of a doubt that what you want WILL happen but you don't need it to because you're happy with things as they are right now. If not happy, then at least be in a state of acceptance. I know, like I said this is not always easy but it is necessary so start flexing those faith muscles asap!

Step #4: Take inspired action!!

This step is extremely important and in my opinion not emphasized nearly enough in many law of attraction books and programs. You must get out there and act!! Period. If you want that ideal job, yes definitely visualize and align your energy with that job first but then get out there and apply for as many jobs as possible non-stop- even the ones that aren't so ideal. Polish and perfect your resume. Ask friends and family for help. Ask your boss or ex-bosses for letters of recommendation. Just do whatever it takes to get that job! As Mike Dooley of "The Secret" says in his book (which I highly recommend by the way!) "Leveraging the Universe and Engaging the Magic" you must get out into the universe and engage the magic! You cannot just sit at home wishing and praying for things to just happen, you must act. When your intuition tells you to do something or go somewhere even if it doesn't make much sense now act on it immediately! This is also the difference between forced action and inspired action. Action that comes from inspiration (i.e. your intuition, higher self, etc.) is inspired action. However, I will also say that sometimes forced action is helpful too. Sometimes you really don't want to workout but you do it anyway because of the great results you know it gives you. That was forced but really how often do you regret working out? So like I said, visualize, affirm, align yourself with the energy of your goal/desire and then act, act, act!!

Bonus step: Never, ever give up!!

This is a bonus step but it is a must when manifesting what you want. Make this promise to yourself right here and now, out loud if you can: "I, (state your full name), promise myself that no matter what it takes I am committed to making my dreams a reality! I will never give up on myself no matter what! I may "fail" a bunch of times but I will always get up, learn from my mistakes, do better next time, and just KEEP GOING!! I AM achieving all of my goals! It is done, it is done, it is done!!" Woo-hoo! Doesn't that feel good? You can say this to yourself every morning and night to keep yourself motivated.

Now get to it and please leave a comment and share with me all the great successes you're experiencing. Until next time just remember... you are magnificent!

Do You Really Want to Be a Champion?

Do You Really Want to Be a Champion?
By Lance Winslow

Have you ever gone onto someone's Facebook page, and they spend all their time talking about how great they are, but you actually know this person, and you know that they live a life of mediocrity. What gives? They talk a great game, and act as if they are a champion, but you know they're not, and they inherently know it is well. Perhaps they are trying to pretend or convince everyone else in the world of something that simply isn't so. Perhaps they have a low self-esteem and need self-validation, some clue, or someone to tell them that they can actually do it, because in their heart they don't believe it.

Do you want to be a champion? Do you really want to be a champion? Well, it's more than just talk, it's an attitude, a sense of commitment, a level of agility, and a system of belief. You have to have the willpower, strength of character, and personal integrity to promise yourself you are going to go all the way, and not give up or let yourself or anyone else down the process, easier said than done. There will always be talkers, and talk is cheap, that's why it comes with a four letter word; free.

There are lots of talkers, and they are everywhere you look in the real world and in the virtual one. Perhaps that's what's going on with your friend on Facebook? You know, maybe you should be the one to tell them that they can do it, that they can do anything they put their mind to, because they are smart enough, qualified, and all they have to do is put their pedal to the metal, refuse to give up, and have the perseverance to keep going and to never quit.

Perhaps you might become their personal coach because you know both sides of their game. You know where they really are, and their denial in life. You also know where they want to be, and the image they project, that hopeful future where some day they will arrive. Whereas, it is true that they probably won't, that they are too set in their ways, and can't break out of that illusion they've created, that's boxed in their mind, the schizophrenic attitude on one hand they are already great, and on the other they never can be.

Maybe by helping them get through their personal war inside their own head, you can get through yours too? I'm not suggesting that you join with them because "misery loves company," no, rather I'm suggesting that perhaps you have the same goals, dreams, and ambitions, and just perhaps you can help each other reach some interim goals, and set forth on the path to actually be that champion that you want to be, and quite possibly could be someday. Please consider all this and think on it.

How To Become A Successful Person: Why Self-Motivation Skills Are Important

How To Become A Successful Person: Why Self-Motivation Skills Are Important
By William Burnell

You can become a successful person by chance, as others have done: some people have become successful because they were in the right place at the right time. But you cannot rely on this happening. You need to take control of life and of your own destiny. If you want to control life you need to control the way you think.
You may not be in total control of the thoughts that run through your mind but you are in control of the ones that stay there. You can let negative thoughts linger or you can replace them with the positive thoughts you need to help you become a successful person.

Maintaining Enthusiasm

You will need to learn some self-motivation skills. Staying motivated is the great challenge. You will start full of enthusiasm but this can wane without strategies to maintain it. Keeping you goals in front of you is important, as this is self-motivating. But the best way to stay enthusiastic is to act enthusiastically. Simply decide to act as enthusiastically as you can when you are working on any project that will bring you closer to what you want. You can make a conscious decision to do that.

Have you ever woken of a morning feeling less than inspired and not really looking forward to the day? We all have and we all do. You can change that by deciding you will be enthusiastic about whatever you have to do that day, particularly when it involves any activity that will bring you closer to your success. Check yourself before you take on any task. If you are feeling tired or a little down decide to change it. Act as enthusiastically as you can. Do this often enough and it becomes a habit.

Enthusiasm is contagious: not only will your enthusiasm inspire you it will inspire those around you. Soon you will have a reputation for bringing this energy to your work and others will be drawn to you and will want to work with you. You will be given jobs that would otherwise pass you by. You can turn these assignments into opportunities to further your career.

Know What You Want

It is hard to stay motivated about some vague notion you have of success. How do you become a successful person if you do not have a clear picture of what that means? When you do become successful, what does that mean to you? "Become a successful person" can mean many things. You could ask any number of people what that would mean to them and you would get a whole host of different answers. The important thing is you need to know clearly what that means to you.

Your mind will only work with clear, definite images. You need to feed it with clear pictures of what you want. You need to be able to visualize yourself enjoying the rewards of your work. This is self-motivating and will help you to keep pursuing your goals with enthusiasm until you do become a successful person.

You will learn self-motivation skills with the FREE software you will find when you visit http://powerofmind.personaldevelopment.mobi William Burnell has built and sold his own business and has run successful sales teams. He knows what it takes to stay motivated and focused on your objectives
